The curtain tailor has the following responsibilities:
- Cut all pieces as required by the order.
- Read the order form in order to make the right cuts.
- Make the necessary calculations before cutting.
- Ensure correct data is entered into the computer system.
- Inspect fabrics before cutting.
- Possibility of working 35 hours over 4 days, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch break from 12 to 12:45. Or 40 hours, adding Fridays from 7 a.m. to noon.
Skills required
- Be meticulous, rigorous, flexible, resourceful and versatile
- Be a team player
- Have an eye for detail and be able to see imperfections in raw materials.
- Know how to use manual and electric scissors.
- Know how to use a measuring tape and know the measurements (metre, yard, inches, etc.).
- Ability to read, write and count
- Good manual dexterity and speed of execution.
- Be in good physical condition
- Good eyesight and color recognition skills
- Ability to work in a standing position
- Ability to lift weights within limits
